At 4:00 PM, the Senate will resume consideration of S. 954, the Farm bill. Pending to the bill:

Stabenow (for Leahy) amendment #998 (pilot program re: rural gigabit internet projects);
Moran amendment #987 (alfalfa crop insurance program); and
Coons amendment #1079 (food aid procurement projects).

At 5:30 PM, there will be 2 VOTES on:

Moran amendment #987 (alfalfa crop insurance program); and
Coons amendment #1079 (food aid procurement projects).

Months after the president’s reelection, a variety of unions are publicly balking at how the administration plans to implement the landmark law.
