The Senate is considering the motion to proceed to S. 2230, the Buffett Tax bill.  The Senate is also considering the nomination of Stephanie Dawn Thacker, of West Virginia, to be United States circuit judge for the Fourth Circuit. Republican senators continue to focus on creating jobs, lowering the deficit, reducing gas prices, and replacing the Democrats' health care bill with reforms that will actually lower costs.
