WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, released the following statement today regarding the July jobs report:
"A record number of workers are on the job in America’s strong, healthy and growing economy. Over 6.2 million jobs have been created since President Trump’s election, and job creators added even more jobs last month. Wages continue to rise, which means bigger paychecks for hardworking Americans and their families. The unemployment rate remains near a 50-year low, which is good news for people who are looking for a job. Republicans’ tax reform and regulatory relief have set the stage for robust job growth and wage gains, and American workers are winning."
