Bredesen Tells Corker Medicaid Expansion Could Cost Tennessee an Estimated $735 Million in First Five Years

WASHINGTON – In response to a conversation about the impact health care legislation could have on Tennessee, U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) today received a letter from Governor Phil Bredesen projecting that the state could face $735 million in new Medicaid costs if the Senate Finance Committee’s health care bill is enacted.
