Sessions Writes Colleagues in Both Parties to Argue Case against Kagan

U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, today sent a letter to his Senate colleagues explaining why Elena Kagan lacks the basic qualities necessary to serve on the Supreme Court and urging them not to rubber-stamp the President’s nomination. Sessions’ letter, which was sent to every Senator in both the Democrat and Republican caucuses, comes as the Senate is poised to begin consideration of Kagan’s nomination on Tuesday.
