Washington, DC—U.S. Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) today offered the following comments on the meeting between health care reform stakeholders and the White House to curb the growth of health care costs.
“I appreciate a wide range of groups coming together in support of reducing the out-of-control growth in health care spending. By reducing costs and improving quality, we can make a real difference for families who struggle to make ends meet each month. Today’s announcement is a step in the right direction, but with no clear policies or specific steps to reach this worthy goal, how we actually achieve savings and pay for the increased costs of health care reform is still a mystery. Our health care system needs to be overhauled, and I stand ready to work with my colleagues and the administration to reduce inefficiencies in our health care system to ensure that every American has access to quality, affordable health care.”
