Barrasso: More Jobs and Higher Wages for American Workers

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, issued the following statement today regarding the March jobs report:

“This report shows strong hiring and higher wages. Since Republicans passed tax reform, 3.2 million new jobs have been created. Hardworking Americans are seeing more money in their paychecks as wages continue to rise. The unemployment rate remains near a 50-year low and jobless claims this week dropped to the lowest level since 1969. With 7.6 million open jobs in the United States, there is abundant opportunity for American workers in our strong, healthy and growing economy.”
