Alexander Votes to Preserve “Medicare Advantage” Program for 243,000 Tennessean Seniors

December 4th, 2009 - WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today provided the following statement on his vote in favor of an amendment offered by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) that would have prevented the Reid health care plan from cutting $120 billion from the Medicare Advantage program, which serves over 243,000 Tennessee seniors. Senate Democrats defeated the amendment, 57-41.
