On April Fools’ Day, the Joke Is on US

United States Reaches Highest Corporate Tax in the World

  •  On April 1, the United States will reach the highest combined corporate tax rate in the world, at 39.2 percent, following Japan’s corporate tax rate reduction.
    • The combined federal and state tax rate leaves American business at a competitive disadvantage, which restricts economic growth and job creation.
    • Under President Reagan, the United States had the sixth-lowest corporate tax rate among developed countries.
    • Republicans support comprehensive tax reform to fuel economic growth and job creation.
