WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) today met with Judge Sonia Sotomayor in his Washington, DC office during a courtesy visit prior to her confirmation hearings.  After the meeting, Senator Gregg issued the following statement. 

Senator Gregg stated, “Today I had the opportunity to meet with Judge Sotomayor in advance of her upcoming confirmation hearings.  She is a very accomplished judge, and I congratulate her on the great honor of being nominated to serve on our nation’s highest court.  We discussed a variety of topics, including her personal interests and approach to the law.  I appreciate Judge Sotomayor taking the time to sit down with me.  I look forward to her Judiciary Committee testimony, which is critically important, and learning even more about her judicial record and philosophy in the coming weeks.”
