Johanns Applauds 1099 Repeal Passage As Victory For Job Creators

U.S. Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.) today applauded his colleagues for passing a repeal of the burdensome 1099 tax paperwork mandate embedded within the health care law. Johanns' Small Business Paperwork Elimination Act had 61 cosponsors, including 16 Democrats, before a nearly identical version was filed as an amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization bill by Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich). The repeal passed, 81-17.
