Barrasso Statement Regarding President’s Address to the Nation on Border Security

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, issued the following statement regarding the President’s address to the nation regarding border security:

“The President made a strong case to the American people for border security, including a physical barrier. We know there is a crisis with an average of 60,000 illegal and inadmissible immigrants reaching our southern border every month. It’s time for Democrats to stop playing politics with the security and humanitarian crisis at our southern border and find their way back to supporting a physical barrier as part of border security.”
