Barrasso Hammers Biden’s Record-Breaking Border Crisis

“America is a lot less safe because of the wide-open Southern Border. This is a direct result of Joe Biden’s refusal to secure the border or enforce border security laws.”

CASPER, WY – U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, today issued the following statement after data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection revealed an all-time high of 2,475,669 illegal migrant encounters along the Southern Border during Fiscal Year 2023. More than 8 million people have crossed illegally into the United States during the Biden Administration.

Senator Barrasso also released a new video hammering the administration for its record-breaking border crisis.

“Under the Biden Administration, the flow of illegal immigrants into this country has gotten worse every single year. This crisis is record breaking,” said Senator Barrasso. “More than 8 million illegal immigrants have crossed the Southern Border while Biden is asleep at the switch, including terrorists and criminals who seek to poison and kill Americans. We have no idea who these people are, where they’re located, or what they’re doing here.

“National security starts with border security. Today, America is a lot less safe because of the wide-open Southern Border. This is a direct result of Joe Biden’s refusal to secure the border or enforce border security laws.

“Senate Republicans have solutions to end Biden’s border crisis. It starts with enforcing the border security laws already on the books and ending the incentives that feed the crisis. American communities will not be safe until President Biden secures the Southern Border.”
